        假使我們身為父母，很重要的一點是不能像大衛的父母所做的一樣。重點是要去支持我們的孩子，並要知道我們是無法替他們做一切的事的；而是要讓孩子自己能激發自己，學習藉由自己去從事更多更多的事情。
        換句話說，要教導他們一步步朝向獨立，一步步朝向成熟，一步步強化自己的生活。
